GOLD PLATED BREASTPLATE IN STAR OF DAVID NECKLACE WITH CHAIN- The pendant is 1.5 x 1.5. The stones are semi-precious. The original Breastplate is discussed in the Bible in Exodus 28:15-30. Only the Kohen Gadol (High Priest of Israel) was permitted to wear this item. The original Breastplate was one of the major symbols of the office of the High Priest. The Twelve stones on the Breastplate related to the Twelve Tribes of Israel, but there is no Biblically documented information stating which stones and which tribes were paired together.
